Aurora

I wrote this while listening to the music “Aurora” by Ola Gjeilo, after questioning a personal experience as real, and I remembered seeing faint aurora borealis and questioning that and other unusual visions in the sky.

Receive the light waves undulating your body

Like a lullaby singing along

The pathways of your nervous system

It is real, for you and no one else

That vision, you didn’t make it up

You are the only witness of these lights

The colors, as you perceived them, are unique

To your biology, your senses, your life within and without

Let them become part of you

As we go into the night.
