The Weekend Plants, and a Sunset

Taking care of plants this week-end… After a visit at Planterday, I learned about this Anthurium that had been abandoned outside my apartment and that I had “rescued” to decorate a corner of the passageway… As it’s getting colder, it would be wiser to move it indoors, so I replaced it with a Flowering Maple that is more of an outside plant! Then I cleaned the Anthurium and the sun was setting on it, so I took some pictures: Also, I never thought I’d like to have a cactus, but these were so pretty! Apparently they’re a “holiday” kind (the flowers grow when the days get shorter and less light). This is small enough to be on a little window ledge on the side that doesn’t get any sun this season! And here’s a Dieffenbachia that I got at Planterday… Finally, the sun was setting as I took those pictures, so here’s what it looked like (this is the season of great sunsets, but somehow they always look better in person than in photos)
