it was not a good idea to do this at the top of a sunny day…

We arrived at the Colorado River, the lowest point of the Grand Canyon we could reach on the Bright Angel Trail, greeted by these butterflies unaware that we humans considered it a feat to have arrived there and a challenge to climb back up.
fleur tombée devant moi et rescapée dans un coquetier, ce fuchsia s’appelle et s’épelle ainsi à cause d’un certain L. Fuchs, botaniste au XVIe siècle. L’arbuste est un oenothéracée. this flower fell as I walked by, so I rescued it into an egg-cup. Fuchsia is spelled that way because of an L. Fuchs, botanist in the 16th Century!
These took a little while to catch (I used a tripod for maximum stability), and I found they would show better in a square. All from gardens in Guatemala.
